Abby Hemenway Deaver

Abby Hemenway Deaver is a project coordinator in Dr. McCoy's SEED Lab working on the RRSM. Currently, she also serves as a research assistant at the University of Vermont where her work focuses on trauma-informed practice across sectors. She is particularly interested in young children’s development of self-regulation, executive function, and social-emotional skills. She earned her BA in English and Feminist, Gender, & Sexuality Studies from Cornell University in 2008 and her Ed.M. in Human Development and Psychology from the Harvard Graduate School of Education in 2017. Prior to attending HGSE, she received an MAT from Bennington College and taught first and second grade for three years.
