Barb Wilder-Smith
Barb Wilder-Smith coordinated two randomized control design research projects studying the efficacy of the Tools of the Mind program and has trained PreK and K teachers across the country. She began her career as a teacher, worked as an adjunct instructor at Wheelock College, a consultant for Tufts University, participated in research and curriculum development on bullying and teasing at Wellesley Centers for Women and was an ECE coach in a research project with Abt Associates. A graduate of the Harvard Graduate School of Education and a Calderwood Writing Fellowship recipient, Barb has a long-held passion for supporting teacher development and intentional and reflective teaching that has high impact on student outcomes in the key developmental period of early childhood. She has worked with Tools of the Mind for the past 13 years, where she is now the General Manager of the organization.
